Each year students audition for the ILMEA festival and All State Bands.
Students are encouraged to play along side experienced performers. In this photo is Andy Nisipeanu. He went on to med school after performing in the All State band in 2020.
We perform in ensembles and solo for our local Senior living community as well as friends and family.

At our ‘23 recital, Kelsi performed the Hindemith Oboe Sonata mvt. 1; Melody performed the Haydn Oboe Concerto mvt. 1; Ava performed the Nielsen Fantasy Pieces mvt. 1; Francesca performed the Mozart Oboe Concerto mvt. 1 and I performed Inside the Box, Outside the Box by Alyssa Morris. Our fabulous accompanist was Juliane Strelau Koscinski. She was also my HS oboe teacher!

At our ‘24 recital we performed Hedwig’s Theme from Harry Potter by John Williams in an arrangement by M. Sierov for oboe ensemble and piano. Juliane Strelau Koscinski was our accompanist. Other pieces performed were the Oboe Concerto by Grandval, the Saint-Saëns sonata, and Six Studies in English Folksong by RV Williams, Parable of a Stormy Sea by Alyssa Morris, Minuet in G by JS Bach and etudes by AMR Barret. It was a very enjoyable experience for all. So well prepared!👏
